We have the opportunity to work with an exciting group of practitioners from all around the world who are finding new ways to make a difference in their communities. They work from the kinds of values and principles you see on the Berkana website. Ironically, it is more straightforward to work from a principle like “we have what we need” in a country like Zimbabwe than it is in the United States where we are so inclined to being be looking at what we lack. Our work with organizations, communities, government agencies and others helps them look at leadership, hosting the conversations that really matter, local action to rebuild community, and emergence of systems of influence. We started doing work as consultants in 2006 and have had successful engagements with groups as diverse as the Center for Community Health in Clark County, Washington, Navajo Health Services, U.S. Center for Mental Health Services, City of Redwood California, Washington State Family Services Council, City of Durban, South Africa and others. We bring in our experience as change practitioners to ask questions, develop strategies, hosts conversations that matter, and support ongoing change efforts. Included within this consulting work is the design of special events, such as custom Art of Hosting sessions. We would welcome the opportunity to be in a conversation with you about how our work might meet your needs.
